The Slingshot Space Mob Wakeboard bindings are perfect for your cable park board setup. This is a closed-toe, two-piece binding system with many customizable features to make them pressable and comfy or stable and hard-charging.

The bindings connect to your wakeboard with the direct connect soles. There is technically no baseplate with these boot binding systems. The base of your liner rests right on top of your board. When you remove the liner and look through the shell, you will be staring right at the top of your board. The benefit here is that there is an additional level of responsiveness and board feel that you won’t get with some other wakeboard binding systems. With the Slingshot Space Mob, you are closer to your board.

These bindings have the ultralight K9 mounting system. The mounting system allows you to customize your stance options while eliminating any heel or toe lift to keep you locked into those presses.

The Space Mob’s straps and lacing system offer a ton of customizability too. These bindings have a Tri-Zone lacing system so that you can keep the top, middle, or lower part of the bindings dialed into your exact flex level. These wakeboard boots also feature Slingshot’s signature Gummy Straps. These straps are durable, interchangeable (with other colorways available), and will keep you locked into the level of tension you want, just like the lacing system. For cable park riding, you might want to crank the lower and middle straps while leaving the top strap looser. The choice is yours, so why not experiment with the options.

One of the best features about the Space Mob wakeboard bindings is that the liner is removable, and they were designed like a comfortable high-top boot that you can walk around in. The liners use a traditional lacing system and have triple-density EVA soles that help protect your feet as you walk around when you are not riding at the park. The liners offer excellent stability and heel hold thanks to the internal and external J-bars that cup the back of your heel. Your heel will remain locked in as you ride.

The tongue of the boot’s shell is removable. You have the option to leave the shell’s tongue in if you want additional stiffness and support. Otherwise, you can remove the tongue for a softer, more flexible feel.

If you are looking for the perfect wakeboard boot/binding for the cable park, you just found it. Get the Slingshot Space Mob wakeboard bindings.

Pros:

  • So many customizable options
  • Removable liner you can walk in
  • Removable tongue for added support / or flexibility
  • Board feel is incredible – there is no added baseplate so you stand on top of your board
  • Gummy straps

Cons:

  • On the more expensive side< and well worth it./li>
  • There aren’t many cons here. I don’t particularly love the moon print of the liner. However, the shell and binding as a whole look so nice/

The Ronix Rise women’s wakeboard bindings are an overall top pick on this list. If you want a stiffer flex, closed-toe boot that was designed for comfort and performance, this is it.

The standout features of the Rise wakeboard boots are its liner and its baseplate technology.

The Rise wakeboard boots have Ronix Stage 3 liner, which includes triple density foam that molds to your foot. It has 13% less base material making it lighter than some of the other options on this list. The liner has reinforced foam in the areas that require the boot to be stable while reducing the foam in areas that make the boot more flexible/maneuverable. Ronix added in j-bars to add in superior heel hold and response.

While the liner itself molds to your foot, an excellent feature about the Ronix Rise is that the skeleton of the boot will expand to fit around your foot naturally. It is part of the Ronix BrainFrame technology that was designed into this boot. BrainFrame tech focuses on getting the upper part of the boot to work with the baseplate’s responsiveness. With this tech, you get a binding that offers instant energy transfer and responsiveness upward. The benefit is that it reduces leg fatigue while increasing the board feel.
